Tools to help you plan your shipment

Work out volume and chargeable weight, check every container type, and see who pays what under each trade term, before you ask for a quote.

Enter one package's length, width, height and weight with the number of packages. You get the total volume in cubic metres, the air chargeable weight and the sea revenue ton, plus a suggestion: LCL or a full container.

Air volumetric weight = L × W × H ÷ 6000. Final rates are confirmed by our team.

Internal dimensions, door opening, capacity and maximum payload for the common container types, to help you pick the right one before you book.

What do these numbers mean?

Volume (CBM)

The space inside the container in cubic metres: the most cargo volume it can take.

Max payload

The heaviest your cargo can be, not counting the container's own weight.

Tip: always check both. Heavy cargo can reach the payload limit before the container is full, while light cargo fills the space first.

* Internal dimensions and payloads are approximate and vary by carrier and container condition.

Incoterms 2020 decide who pays freight, insurance and duties, and where responsibility passes from seller to buyer. Here is what each term means in one line.

Several parties take part in every ocean shipment. Here is who does what, so the documents and messages you receive make sense.

The main parties

Shipper

Hands the goods over for transport; usually the exporter or seller.

Carrier

The shipping line that moves the cargo, issues the Bill of Lading (B/L) and manages the container.

Consignee

The party the cargo is consigned to at destination; usually the importer or buyer.

Other key parties

Notify Party

Receives the Arrival Notice when the cargo arrives.

Not always the consignee.
Freight Forwarder

Arranges the whole shipment from pickup to delivery and coordinates every party.

This is Enjaz's role in your shipment.
Customs

Checks the goods and documents and releases them for import or export.

Ensures compliance with regulations.
Trucker

Moves the cargo between the factory or warehouse and the port, in either direction.
